The Supply Chain Planner will be a key member of our Operations team, responsible for:

  1. Developing production schedules based on customer orders, material availability, and manufacturing capacity.
  2. Maintaining accuracy in SAP by making "firm" planned orders and issuing electronic component shortage lists.
  3. Collaborating with Value Stream Leader/Manager to ensure efficient resource allocation and effective production plans.
  4. Coordinating discussions between teams to resolve issues impacting production schedules.
  5. Ensuring SAP accuracy of production schedule dates, Stock Transport Order dates, and externally procured material delivery dates.
  6. Executing exception messages for production orders and communicating changes to stakeholders.
  7. Supporting Root Cause Analysis and implementing corrective actions to improve On Time Delivery, Lead Time, and Past Due to customers.
  8. Liaising with customer service representatives to understand existing and future demands and manage forecasting via the SIOP process.
  9. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through Crane Business System within Supply Chain.

Key qualifications and requirements include:

  1. GCSE Level A-C, IVQ Technician certificate, BTEC first certificate, or equivalent NVQ level 2 qualification.
  2. Knowledge and experience of using SAP or similar ERP systems.
  3. Excellent Excel skills and ability to learn new software packages.
  4. Knowledge of PCBA and injection moulding manufacturing processes is desired but not essential.
  5. Good communicator with ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
  6. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  7. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Numeracy, statistical, and reporting skills with ability to analyze, interpret, and manage information, data, and trends.
  9. Collaborative approach to working with others.
  10. High sense of urgency and proactive approach.
