Job Title: Psychology Support Assistant

We are seeking a Psychology Support Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Psychology Support Assistant, you will work with children with additional needs, providing support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Psychology student or graduate to gain experience working with children with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and physical disabilities. You will work in a variety of settings, including primary schools in and around Swindon, providing support to children and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to children with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and physical disabilities
  • Work with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, as needed
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children, as needed
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including psychologists, therapists, and medical professionals, as needed
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Experience working with children with additional needs, preferably in a school setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
