Job Summary

As a Health Education Facilitator with the Transformation Unit, you will play a vital role in delivering peer-led health education and supporting individuals in developing self-management skills. This is a unique opportunity to share your personal experience and inspire others while contributing to creating a supportive and inclusive environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience of using secondary mental health services and will be able to draw on their own recovery journey to motivate and empower others. You will work closely with our team to develop and deliver courses that meet the needs of participants and contribute to creating a positive impact in the community.

Main Duties:

  • To establish effective relationships with various stakeholders, teams, and services to promote the Transformation Unit's initiatives.
  • To maintain precise records of attendance and evaluation data in line with our procedures.
  • To utilise communication tools such as telephone, text, and email to engage with colleagues, venues, participants, and other relevant parties.
  • To provide tailored support and guidance to participants, drawing on clinical expertise and personal experience, to facilitate optimal learning outcomes.
  • To coordinate course materials, operate IT equipment, and participate in supervision to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Person Specification:

  • Education to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of health and wellbeing issues, and training to NVQ level 3 or equivalent level of knowledge, training, and experience.
  • Lived experience of mental health condition(s) and use of secondary mental health services.

Remuneration:

The annual salary for this position is approximately £24,071 - £25,674 per annum, pro rata. This role offers a supportive working environment, opportunities for professional development, and access to training to enhance your skills and expertise.
