The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Peterhead. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting a young lady with learning disabilities who exhibits challenging behaviors. Your primary responsibility will be to provide 2:1 support, promoting a positive, active, and healthy lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to the young lady, including assistance with daily living activities
  • Encourage and facilitate participation in community activities, such as swimming, bowling, and social events
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the young lady, promoting her independence and well-being
  • Work collaboratively with the Service Leader and staff team to ensure high-quality care and support
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviors
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and variable shift patterns
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting the young lady's independence and well-being
