Job Description
As a Community Support Specialist at Aberdeenshire Council, you will provide emotional and practical support to children and families in the local community. Your role will involve supporting families to make positive changes in line with their own goals, using a strengths-based approach to build trust, resilience, and to reduce barriers to wider community engagement.
You will work closely with families to understand their needs and develop personalized support plans to help them achieve their goals. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping families to overcome challenges and improve their overall well-being.
Through your work, you will demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery, ensuring that the support you provide is of the highest standard. You will work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure that families receive the best possible support.
This role is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. You will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, as well as provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check if required.
