Mobile Water Treatment Technician

Location: Midlands - Birmingham/Tamworth, with occasional travel to Wales and Manchester
Salary: £35,000 + Van + Fuel Card
Hours of work: 40 hours Monday to Friday role, no call-out
25 days holiday + Bank Holidays

Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Mobile Water Treatment Technician to work on commercial properties across the Midlands, with occasional travel to Wales and Manchester. This is a Monday to Friday role with no call-out requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Water System Maintenance: Perform regular testing, treatment, and maintenance of water systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
  2. Legionella Control: Carry out Legionella risk assessments and implement control measures (L8).
  3. Water Sampling & Testing: Take water samples to check for contamination and maintain system health.
  4. System Cleaning & Repairs: Clean and maintain water tanks, pipes, and other system components, repairing issues as needed.
  5. Chemical Dosing: Monitor and adjust chemical levels (e.g., chlorine dosing) to maintain water quality.
Requirements:
  1. Water Treatment Knowledge: Experience in water treatment maintenance, testing, and cleaning.
  2. Legionella Control: Certification in Legionella control (L8) or relevant training.
  3. Plumbing/Mechanical Skills: A background in plumbing or mechanical engineering is advantageous but not essential.
  4. Driving: A full, valid UK driving license is required as the role involves extensive travel.
Bonus Skills:
  1. Experience with plumbing systems.
  2. Knowledge of water softeners and CLO2 (Chlorine Dioxide) systems.
