About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Parts Advisor to join our team at Car Planet Trading Limited. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of our vehicle parts inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure the availability of high-quality parts.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels, order new stock, and track inventory to ensure optimal levels are maintained.
  • Parts Identification: Utilize catalogues and software to accurately identify the correct parts for various vehicles.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the service department to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts for repair jobs, facilitating effective communication between departments.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, inventory updates, and supplier communications.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Parts Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive parts and systems.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technology: Proficient in using parts catalogues, inventory management software, and supplier management systems.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure the best terms and prices.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy parts and perform physical tasks as needed.
Working Arrangements
  • Working Days: Monday to Friday (Week 1), Monday to Saturday (Week 2).
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 08:30 - 18:00, Saturday: 09:00 - 14:00.
Compensation Package
  • Basic Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
