We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to join our leadership team as a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse on Ward 11. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of healthcare professionals in providing high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence within the trust.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in orthopaedic care and experience in managing a team of nurses. They will be responsible for promoting safe and effective practice, monitoring patient outcomes, and contributing to the development of clinical policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. They will be passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and committed to promoting a culture of safety and excellence within the trust.

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the multidisciplinary team to promote and monitor safe, effective practice through the CARE values and the strategic priorities. They will be responsible for maintaining safe staffing levels and supporting the development of clinical teams.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of nurses in providing high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures
  • Monitor patient outcomes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote safe and effective practice
  • Maintain safe staffing levels and support the development of clinical teams

Requirements

  • Registered General Nurse qualification
  • Experience in orthopaedic care and leadership roles
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for delivering high-quality patient care
