Job Title: Charge Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Charge Nurse to join our team at a leading mental health hospital in the Nottinghamshire area. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for leading a team of nurses and providing high-quality care to patients with mental illnesses and personality disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of nurses and manage shifts to ensure effective care delivery
  • Deputise for the Ward Manager and assist with day-to-day management of the ward and team
  • Provide high-quality care and mentor junior staff to develop their skills
  • Develop therapeutic relationships with patients to optimise engagement and progress
  • Contribute to patient assessments, care planning, and monitoring progress
  • Mentor and supervise student nurses and other team members
  • Promote professional development within the team and contribute to a positive work environment
Requirements:
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current active NMC Pin
  • Proven ability to assess and teach junior staff
  • Experience in co-ordinating care, prioritising tasks, and managing Health & Safety issues
  • Drive to learn and develop, with a commitment to patient-centred care and values-based practice
