Operations Director

We are currently recruiting an Operations Director to oversee the compliant and efficient operation of our northern sites. This role involves overall accountability for the profit and loss account, setting and meeting site budgets, and driving a data-led decision-making culture.

• Develop and present business cases for site developments and capital expenditure requirements.
• Discuss, review, and agree action on data-driven site performance assessment with production team leaders.
• Prepare and present weekly and monthly reports to the head of operations with variation commentary and plans of action.
• Promote and ensure a culture within the operations team where safe working practices and quality policies are documented and strictly followed.
• Accountability for ensuring site adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

• Proven experience in a related operation, working at senior leadership level leading teams of 10+ people.
• Previous experience dealing with third-party governing authorities.
• Direct or indirect experience of engineering maintenance function leadership.
• Financial management training and experience.
• Operational knowledge and experience within a production or manufacturing sector.
• Strongly developed SHEQ compliance skills and understanding of the importance of a highly developed culture of safe working.
