About the Role

The City & County of Swansea is seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to join its Grants Agency Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for administering Disabled Facilities Grants and other forms of housing assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake property surveys and prepare drawings, schedules of work, specifications, and tender documentation.
  • Allocate jobs to contractors, conduct inspections, and manage scheme accounts.
  • Liaise with clients, tenants, contractors, statutory bodies, and partner agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with current construction and health and safety legislation.

Requirements

  • Qualified in building construction with experience in building surveying roles and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of CAD skills and experience in preparing disabled adaptation schemes and schedules of repair works.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
