Exclusive Opportunity for Mechanical Project Engineers

Carrington West is seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team on behalf of Yorkshire Water. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful on-site delivery of complex Non-Infrastructure projects in the water sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Outline engineering from inception to completion of schemes utilizing in-house resources, site installation, and construction personnel.
  2. The timely completion of multiple concurrent projects, safely and within budget.
  3. Liaise with client's engineering and operations staff to ensure KPI's are met or exceeded within budget constraints.
  4. Attend internal and external review and progress meetings.
  5. Attend site visits/meetings.
  6. Ascertain preliminary and detailed design/project requirements and solutions.
  7. Prepare estimates and quotations.
  8. Complete contract documentation.
  9. Manage site safety, health, and environmental issues.
  10. Co-ordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist subcontractors, in-house functions, site installations, and construction teams.
  11. Procurement of plant, materials, and specialist subcontractors.
  12. Attend/undertake factory site and works testing, commissioning, and client training.
  13. Compile and collate final contract documentation, 'As built' drawings, test sheets etc. for inclusion into operation and maintenance manuals.
  14. Overall responsibility for Profit/Loss on contracts undertaken.
  15. Establishing and agreeing price variations and final accounts.
