At Metso, we're committed to innovation and excellence in our products and services. We're seeking a talented Product Engineer to join our Horizontal Grinding Mills (HGM) product engineering team.

About the Role: As a Product Engineer, you'll play a key role in our design operations, utilizing Inventor and SolidWorks CAD systems to develop innovative HGM product modules. You'll collaborate with our project delivery, sourcing, and installation teams to ensure seamless integration and top-notch performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Model: Create high-quality Horizontal Mill product modules that meet the latest design standards and compliance requirements.
  • Support Projects: Provide local and global expertise in design, fabrication, quality assurance, sourcing, and troubleshooting.
  • Engineering Calculations: Ensure the safe function of equipment for manufacturing, transportation, installation, and maintenance.
  • Mechanical Drawings: Prepare detailed drawings to facilitate fabrication, transportation, installation, and maintenance.
  • Risk Assessments: Participate in risk assessments to comply with safety standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in mechanical engineering and suggest product improvements.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of design experience in engineering equipment for mining, mineral processing, or similar heavy industries.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software, with experience in Inventor and parametric modeling tools.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with Enovia PLM system, SAP workflows, and FEA modeling tools is advantageous.
