We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our charity operations during a critical period. As the Charity Manager's maternity leave, you will be responsible for managing our existing projects, working with our Trustees on fundraising, and ensuring the continued growth and success of Love Barton.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our charity, including project management, volunteer coordination, and community outreach.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase our reach and visibility within the community, building relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
- Work closely with our Trustees to identify and secure funding opportunities, ensuring the long-term sustainability of our projects.
- Lead the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality services to our community.
- Line-manage sessional staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Manage project budgets, evaluating outcomes and reporting to funders and Trustees.
- Represent Love Barton at community meetings and events, building partnerships and collaborations to enhance our impact.
- Proven experience in managing charity operations, volunteer coordination, and community outreach.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in fundraising and grant writing, with a track record of securing funding for community projects.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and practices, with the ability to ensure the safety and well-being of our volunteers and community members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to self-care and ongoing personal development.
Love Barton is a faith-based charity established in 2022 to tackle systemic issues that keep people and families in poverty. We are committed to releasing individuals and families to flourish in all areas of life, focusing on the Barton estate on the outskirts of Oxford. We work in close partnership with Barton Community Church and other local organizations to deliver high-quality services to our community.
