We are seeking a talented UX Design Manager to join our Amazon team in shaping the end-to-end experiences for finance and people management tools. As a key member of our agile team, you will play a vital role in defining the north star vision for our products and refining recommendations for common UI patterns.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership position where you will be responsible for leading UX design from research and discovery to high-fidelity designs and release. You will work closely with Product Management to help craft the vision and set the product direction. To be successful, you must be a critical, inventive, and strategic thinker with clear design chops and an ability to communicate your ideas effectively to peers, stakeholders, and executives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with colleagues across the AWS Fintech org to deliver on shareable common UI services that can be used across products.
  • Use research practices to frame problems to be solved, experiment with multiple concepts through ideation workshops, and evaluate how the product is meeting customer goals (pre/post release) with engagement analytics.
  • Earn trust across multiple internal Amazon teams (design, engineering, product) to achieve your goals.
  • Help up-level the team with UX skill trainings, sharing best practices on scaling impact, and hosting team events to build an inclusive culture.
  • Present design work to multiple cross-functional teams, managers, and senior leadership for review and feedback.

A day in the life as a UX Design Manager involves managing a team and working closely with leaders and teams across product, engineering, and design. You will also build key partnerships with customers both from the AWS finance org and other AWS teams.

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of design experience.
  • 3+ years of leading design teams experience.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $160,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
