Architectural Technician

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join our team at Pettigrew Recruitment Group Limited. As a key member of our Technical department, you will work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality design and graphic communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high standards.
• Prepare designs, drawings, and illustrations using AutoCAD, and obtain planning and building warrant applications for residential schemes.
• Complete energy calculations and EPCs for new build dwellings, and produce and monitor technical/construction specifications.
• Work with the adoptions team to provide technical assistance and drive adoptions, including Scottish Water assets, landscaping, and roads.
• Produce feasibility layouts for land appraisals, manage the house type portfolio, and ensure compliance with CDM procedures.
• Review and manage fee proposals from external consultants, and ensure all NHBC registrations are secured and conditions are discharged in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Experience in the housebuilding industry in an associated design role, with a good understanding of Planning procedures, Building Regulations, and NHBC standards.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and a self-starter attitude, with the ability to work to deadlines and build relationships with stakeholders.
