We are currently working with a well-established independent practice in Winchester, Hampshire to recruit a Dispensing Optician.

About the Practice

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a lovely practice which holds a great reputation for offering the highest levels of service in a relaxed, friendly environment.

The practice has 2 testing rooms and is clinically focused, prioritizing patient experience above all else. The directors constantly invest and develop the practice, resulting in excellent patient reviews.

The team consists of 6-7 people, and as a Dispensing Optician, you will be responsible for ordering items from suppliers as required and helping train the support team.

Working hours are between 9am to 5:30pm, five days a week including Saturdays. The salary range is £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience, plus a generous bonus and professional fees paid.

Job Description

As a Dispensing Optician, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Working alongside the directors to maintain the high level of customer care expected by patients of the practice
  • Maintaining accurate records of prescriptions and lens specifications
  • Helping to train new staff members
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must be a qualified Dispensing Optician registered with the GOC or have completed a Student DO course.

You should also be able to learn quickly and adapt to the practice's systems.
