Nurse - Long-Term Ventilation and Step-Down Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Band 5 Nurse to join our Long-Term Ventilation and Step-Down Team at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care to children and young people with complex needs, including those requiring long-term ventilation.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for children and young people with complex needs.
- Provide 1-2-1 care and support to patients and their families, empowering them to be ready for the challenges of going home.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and support.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in long-term ventilation and complex care.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualification as a Registered Children's Nurse (RSCN) or equivalent.
- Post-registration experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in a long-term ventilation setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric nursing practices.
