Job Title: Biomedical Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Specialist to join our Endoscopy workshop team in Belfast, Ireland.

About Us:

Cardiac Services is a leading provider of diagnostic and measurement equipment in Ireland and the UK. Our company comprises multiple divisions, with Pre-hospital specializing in AEDs, training devices, and primary care supplies, while the Hospital Division focuses on Patient Monitoring, Resuscitation, Cardiology, Surgical Scopes, and Clinical Information Systems.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, disassembling, reassembling, troubleshooting, and testing endoscopes returned to the workshop for evaluation. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Requirements:

  • 4 GCSE's including Math and English
  • Level 4/5 qualification or equivalent in Engineering/operations & maintenance
  • Previous experience of repair and maintenance of flexible endoscopes is advantageous
  • 6 months to 1 year of electro-mechanical experience and/or demonstrable repair ability
  • Sufficient manual dexterity with small hand tools
  • Ability to work with microscopes, test equipment, and hand soldering irons
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and follow manuals, work instructions, job standards, and related information
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks
  • Possesses basic computer skills

Salary: €40,000 - €55,000 per annum depending on experience
