Job Title: Class 1 Day Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 Day Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Day Driver, you will be responsible for making multi-drop palletised deliveries and collections to and from businesses and private addresses across North Devon.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
  • Planning route on a day-to-day basis.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks on your company phone.
  • Working closely with the network hubs.
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations.
  • Attending regular training sessions.
Requirements:
  • Must have a UK Class 1 Driving Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
