Class 1 Day Driver Role Overview

At Gregory Distribution Careers, we are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 Day Driver to join our team. As a Class 1 Day Driver, you will be responsible for making multi-drop palletised deliveries and collections to and from businesses and private addresses across North Devon.

Key Responsibilities:

* Load and unload vehicles, ensuring load security
* Plan routes on a day-to-day basis
* Complete daily vehicle checks on your company phone
* Work closely with the network hubs
* Maintain regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and manage customer expectations
* Attend regular training sessions

Essential Skills:

* Hold a valid UK Class 1 Driving Licence
* Possess a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
* Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous
* Demonstrate a passion for providing excellent customer service
* Work effectively under deadlines
* Exhibit confident, polite, and team-player qualities
* Possess good geographical knowledge
* Be fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated
