Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Outreach Practitioner to join our team at Via Westminster Drug Project. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol issues to improve their health and wellbeing.

The Role

This specialist practitioner role will lead on outreach provision to support greater access opportunities for under-served and hard-to-reach communities. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver excellent drug and alcohol services to clients and their significant others, including family members, friends, and carers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver prevention work in a variety of community settings to prevent people from engaging in substance misusing and risk-taking behaviors.
  • Develop strong links with a wide range of community groups to encourage and promote access into services for hard-to-reach and under-served groups.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring adherence with all Via policies and safeguarding principles.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of substance misuse and its impact on individuals and communities. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
