English Teacher Role

We are seeking a skilled English Teacher to join our team at a reputable secondary school in Suffolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to students, assessing their progress, and providing constructive feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the KS3 and KS4 English Language and English Literature curriculum
  • Maintain a well-organized and professional classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective teaching and learning
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
  • Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons that cater to diverse learning needs

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience as an English Teacher at a secondary school level
  • Exhibit strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A relevant English-related degree is desirable
