English Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced English Teacher to join our team at a reputable secondary school in Suffolk. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons to students, assessing their progress, and providing constructive feedback to help them improve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons that cater to the needs of students, focusing on the KS3 and KS4 English Language and English Literature curriculum.
  • Maintain a well-organized and professional classroom environment, ensuring that resources are readily available for students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals and provide support to students as needed.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid QTS or equivalent qualification.
  • Have recent experience as an English Teacher at a secondary school level, with a strong understanding of the curriculum.
  • Be able to manage classroom behavior effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • A relevant English-related degree is desirable, but not essential.
