About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiology Assistant to join our team at Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will play a vital role in supporting our qualified staff during radiological and ultrasound procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist qualified staff during radiological and ultrasound procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
  • Prepare the examination room prior to procedures, maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
  • Act as a chaperone during examinations, providing a supportive and reassuring presence for patients.
  • Receive, admit, and prepare patients for examination, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Assist with portering/escorting patients to and from wards, prioritizing patient comfort and dignity.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment, adhering to hospital standards.
  • Provide general administration assistance, including the collation, distribution, and filing of diagnostic imaging reports and films.
  • Enter patient charges and other information accurately onto the hospital's computerized administration system.
  • Assist in the maintenance of stocks of contrast agents, linen, and consumables to an agreed level.
