The Quantum Algorithms and Applications team at IBM Europe — UK is looking for a talented researcher to join their team. As a member of this team, you will work on challenging research problems and collaborate with a diverse group of scientists and engineers.

Job Description

This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quantum computing research. You will be working on projects related to quantum simulation, machine learning, and error mitigation. Your contributions will have a significant impact on the development of quantum computing technology.

You will also have the chance to participate in scientific and industrial research, author papers, file patents, and contribute to open-source projects and IBM products.

Requirements

To be eligible for this internship, you should be enrolled in an MSc or PhD programme in physics, mathematics, computer science, chemistry, or a related field focusing on quantum computing and quantum information. You must also demonstrate your ability to conduct independent research.

Location

This internship is based at our Hursley, Winchester, or Daresbury, Warrington facilities. The duration of the internship is three months.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
