Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Onboarding Process Oversight: Ensure adherence to AML, CDD, and trade sanctions policies for new clients and matters.
  • Compliance Form Review: Verify compliance forms and global screening reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • CDD Memo Management: Maintain and organize CDD memos and KYC documents to facilitate efficient client onboarding.
  • AML/CDD Engagement: Collaborate with partners, colleagues, and external clients to ensure AML/CDD requirements are met.
  • Compliance Policy Updates: Monitor and update compliance policies in line with UK regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • AML Best Practices: Stay current with AML laws and best practices by attending relevant courses and seminars.
  • Client Documentation Monitoring: Conduct routine monitoring of existing client documentation to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Training and Support: Provide training on client intake processes, focusing on AML and CDD, and assist with AML questionnaires, annual returns, and risk assessments.
  • Compliance Monitoring and Testing: Support internal compliance monitoring and participate in software application testing to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements
  • AML Expertise: Strong understanding of UK AML regulations and compliance policies.
  • Compliance Experience: Minimum of three years' experience in compliance review and client onboarding.
  • Research and Analytical Skills: Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Independence and Adaptability: Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • International Law Firm Experience: Experience in an international law firm or similar setting preferred.
