Job Title: Executive Chef

Location: Saxlingham Hall, Norwich

Salary: £13.75 per hour

Hours: 20 hours per week (includes alternate weekends)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Saxlingham Hall. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our residents, ensuring a safe and healthy dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse tastes and dietary needs of our residents
  • Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Collaborate with our catering team to plan and execute themed nights and special events
  • Monitor and control food costs, ensuring that we provide excellent value for our residents

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a senior chef in a commercial kitchen environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food hygiene standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with residents, staff, and external partners
