We are seeking a reliable and experienced care assistant to provide high-quality care for a young man with quadriplegic cerebral palsy in Canterbury. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to build rapport with the client, who is friendly and enjoys interacting through eye gaze games on his computer and outings to local attractions.

In addition to providing personal care, the successful candidate will be responsible for administering medication, managing medical equipment, and assisting with hydrotherapy sessions.

They must also be able to drive an automatic Motability vehicle and possess a full UK driver's license. A clean driving record is essential due to the client's medical condition.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a compassionate and dedicated individual to provide the highest level of care to our client. We offer a supportive work environment and opportunities for professional growth.

Schedule

The typical working hours will be:

  • Mondays: 16:30-22:00 (sleep night at £80 per night)
  • Tuesdays: 06:30-09:30 and 16:30-22:00 (sleep night)
  • Wednesdays: 06:30-10:00
  • 1 Saturday per month: 09:30-22:00 (sleep night), followed by Sunday morning 06:30-09:30 (24-hour shift)

Weekend pay is £16 per hour.
