About the Role:

GSL Education is partnering with a well-regarded specialist school in Cosham, looking for a caring and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team.

The successful candidate will provide one-to-one support to a specific student with learning needs, assist in the implementation of individualised education plans, and collaborate with teachers, Special Education Coordinators, and other professionals to support the student effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a student with learning needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, Special Education Coordinators, and other professionals to support the student effectively.
  • Foster a positive and supportive relationship with the student to promote their well-being and engagement.
  • Monitor and track the student's progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents as needed.

Requirements:

  • Willingness and openness to working with students in a one-on-one setting and in small groups who have learning difficulties.
  • The capability to arrange educational activities based on student proficiency with assistance from a teacher.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Development of social skills and assistance with individual needs.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Providing counselling and academic help.
