Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Daventry, United Kingdom. This is a permanent contract, working Monday to Friday, with flexible hours.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure Safety: Promptly report hazards and comply with HSE standards to create a safer work environment.
  • Maintain Quality: High standards of workmanship and attention to detail will ensure equipment operates efficiently and reliably.
  • Support Equipment Uptime: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly.
  • Improve Processes: Participate in continuous improvement activities to identify and reduce manufacturing constraints.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Recognize and minimize the environmental impact of your work to contribute to the company's sustainability goals.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with your team and support staff to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Adhere to Protocols: Follow process documentation and quality procedures to maintain consistency and reduce quality exposures.
  • Personal Development: Engage in training and personal development to stay up-to-date with best practices and continue to grow in your role.

Requirements

  • Strong Health and Safety Awareness: Champion proactive health and safety behaviors, identify and report hazards, and participate in actions to improve workplace safety.
  • Technical Knowledge of Controls Safety: Recognize and manage hazards related to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure safe practices and reduce injuries.
  • Manufacturing Expertise: Demonstrate a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and effectively implement changes to improve efficiency and meet functional needs.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Support root cause analysis for quality and health & safety issues, and work on implementing effective solutions to enhance overall performance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

The compensation for this role is aligned with a local bargained or unionized agreement.
