About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Ecologist Specialist to oversee the technical quality of our outputs, step up as Project Director for larger projects, and embody a proactive stance in technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the technical quality of outputs and ensure they meet the highest standards.
- Take on the role of Project Director for larger or more intricate projects, ensuring their timely and successful delivery.
- Embody a proactive stance in technical leadership, championing your area of expertise and staying updated with the latest trends.
- Play a pivotal role in internal training initiatives, mentoring and collaborating with members across the team.
- Enhance work quality by collaborating across disciplines and with contractors.
- Top academic qualifications in ecology or biological sciences.
- Excellent survey skills, including extended Phase I, protected species surveys, and/or botanical survey(s).
- CIEEM membership with a commitment to Chartership.
- Experience with EIA and HRA.
- Strong report writing and reviewing capabilities.
- A solid grasp of the legislative and planning policy framework.
- Ability to take the lead as a Project Director on larger projects.
- Confidence in liaising with statutory bodies and LPAs.
- Enthusiastic team player with a commitment to excellence in all tasks.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
