BMS Commissioning Engineer Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled BMS Commissioning Engineer to join a renowned BEMS company. The company offers innovative system solutions using leading products in the BEMS sector. They are expanding and seeking to grow their dynamic team.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the commissioning of BMS systems and associated controls, including front-end supervisors and integration. This is a field-based role with most sites located in the North West and Yorkshire regions. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

  • Commissioning of BMS systems
  • Production of detailed reports, including commissioning reports, test results, and as-fitted drawings
  • Integration of third-party systems into the BMS using ModBus, Mbus, or BACnet enabled devices
  • Communication with customers, clients, and other team members
  • Instruction and supervision of additional trades or company personnel
  • Production or back engineering of software strategy
  • Installation, modification, and demonstration of supervisor graphics
  • Advising customers on potential benefits and savings from adapting the system
  • Quoting for the replacement of faulty parts or items
  • Carrying out energy audits
  • Providing controls and energy solutions and ideas
  • Assisting in the development of controls solutions and applications
  • Assisting in the training of junior engineers and other relevant staff

Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a salary of circa £75,000, depending on experience. The company offers a comprehensive package, including a company car or car allowance, laptop and mobile phone, overnight expenses paid, company pension, 25 days holiday plus 8 days statutory, attendance bonus, and a 37.5-hour work week.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have previous BMS experience, although promising candidates with an electrical background and familiarity with BMS are also encouraged to apply. The company offers training for the right candidate. The required skills and qualifications include the ability to produce precise reports, good fault-finding skills, ability to read schematic drawings, ability to identify applications, ability to highlight potential cost-saving measures, and full UK driving licence.
