At Jaguar & Land Rover, we're seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Strategy Manager to lead and support our Manufacturing Excellence teams in the development and implementation of company-wide Maintenance Systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Maintenance, including Total Productive Maintenance system implementation, productivity improvements, and driving proactive standards within tool time to enhance maintenance utilisation.

This role requires a strong understanding of World Class Maintenance strategies and systems, as well as experience in managing multi-skilled teams in multi-shift operations. The successful candidate will be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive ownership and engagement among operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and implement Total Productive Maintenance standards and methods within the Manufacturing system.
  • Drive improvements with Global Maintenance HPU workshops, enhancing visibility of maintenance effectiveness through proactive/reactive ratio and overall maintenance utilisation improvements.
  • Develop and implement autonomous maintenance applications, providing clarity in training plans and standard measurables that engage production associates, reducing reactive maintenance requirements.
  • Implement a visual planning system with manufacturing to deliver preventative or predictive maintenance planning, increase visuals of preventative maintenance to drive dynamic PM reviews, and regularly adjust based on effectiveness.
  • Emergency maintenance improvement strategies, including improvement in application of escalation procedures, major breakdown standard reporting, problem-solving improvements, and overall control of constraints management standards.
  • Future maintenance - support the Strategic Maintenance Managers' vision to develop and align with the overall ME strategy, including future forecasts to optimise Global standards and achieve HPU glidepath targets, while reducing MTTR and increasing MTBF/MCBF at launch.

Requirements:

  • Experience of managing multi-skilled teams in multi-shift operations in both Manufacturing/Maintenance and contractors/contract labor in a construction environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Legislative and Industry Standards in Automotive.
  • Strong understanding of World Class Maintenance strategies and systems.

Please note that this role requires travel in the UK and internationally, therefore flexibility is needed.
