Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gardening Team Leader to join our Street Care team at Totally Local Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of gardeners and horticultural specialists in the maintenance and upkeep of our borough's green spaces, parks, and public areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of gardeners and horticultural specialists in the maintenance and upkeep of green spaces, parks, and public areas.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Collaborate with operational supervisors to address performance and staff-related issues.
  • Plan workload objectives with staff to ensure an effective service is provided at all times.
  • Ensure the discipline, welfare, and safety of individual work groups.
  • Responsible for ensuring staff perform duties efficiently and effectively in line with business objectives.
  • Communicate relevant information and targets to all staff within the workgroup.
  • Implement Health & Safety policies and procedures to provide a safe environment for staff, customers, and the public.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in horticultural operations and team leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and operational supervisors.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective maintenance plans.
