This ecology job offers a competitive salary of around £35,000 per annum.

The role requires a highly experienced Senior Ecologist to join our multidisciplinary team in London. The successful candidate will have expertise in conducting surveys, designing mitigation measures, and managing species translocation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting surveys including preliminary ecological appraisals, ecological impact assessments, protected species assessments, and biodiversity net gain assessments.
  • Designing and implementing mitigation strategies, managing species translocation, and preparing management plans.
  • Project management, client liaison, and contribution to planning-led projects.
  • Leading on protected species licensing and collaborating with other disciplines such as landscape architecture and arboriculture.
  • Engaging in marketing and continuing professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline and full CIEEM membership.
  • Experience in large multidisciplinary projects and EPS mitigation licenses, holding at least one survey license.
  • Strong botanical ID skills, knowledge of UK habitats, species, and legislation.
  • Full UK driving license.
