Are you a seasoned Contract Planner looking for a new challenge? Moston is seeking a highly skilled professional to join their team as a Contract Planner. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic business that operates within the Construction sector.

Responsibilities & Main Tasks


Collaborate with Senior Planners and project teams to ensure successful project delivery within time and budget constraints.


Provide planning management and support to both pre-contract and contract operations, ensuring seamless project execution.


Develop and maintain programmes for acceptance in line with NEC contract requirements, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.


Manage and incorporate change events into construction programmes, working closely with the project commercial team to secure full entitlement under the contract.


Monitor and control programme performance, providing input to project teams to optimize operations and ensure timely completion.


Offer robust, accurate forecast information to internal stakeholders, including detailed insights for each period.


Produce programme outputs as required, including Critical Path, short-term lookaheads, and sub-contractor inputs.


Support corrective action and develop recovery plans when necessary.


Contribute to opportunity and risk management processes, ensuring time risk allowance is included within programmes.


Foster excellent working relationships with sub-contractors and maintain open communication with all stakeholders.

Requirements


Project controls / Project management qualification.


Degree / HNC in an engineering / construction discipline.


Minimum of 5 years' experience of project planning within the civil / construction sector.


Proven knowledge of planning techniques, including critical path analysis, and ability to produce fully logic-linked, resource-loaded programmes.


Competent user of Oracle Primavera P6.


Understanding of programme reporting requirements, including the implementation and use of Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques.


Understanding of programme requirements under NEC Contracts, including the assessment and implementation of compensation events.


Working knowledge of the use of CEMAR in managing NEC Contracts.


Ability to manage own time accurately to meet strict deadlines.
