Sanctuary Personnel, a pioneering recruitment agency, is seeking a Senior Practitioner to join their Looked After Children Team in Luton. This permanent full-time position comes with a competitive salary of up to £46,034 per annum.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide reflective supervision to NQSWs, exploring their practice and factors influencing their responses. Develop a shared understanding of the knowledge base informing their analysis and use this to inform next steps.
  • Offer weekly reflective supervision for the first six weeks and fortnightly until the NQSW's six-month review, with bi-monthly sessions thereafter.
  • Promote resilience and empower NQSWs to advocate for themselves and the children and families they work with.
  • Collaborate on complex cases, utilizing advanced professional knowledge, skills, experience, and initiative to support NQSWs in developing assessment skills and identifying risk to children.
  • Support and mentor NQSWs in practice development by reviewing their work before submission to the Team Manager and quality assuring their case files against 'what good looks like'.
  • Aid NQSWs in gathering and analyzing sensitive information on families and recording it on LCS, collating key details related to children's safeguarding and protection.
