About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to work with students who require additional support due to their complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer individualized support to students with complex needs, incorporating personal care when necessary.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Support students with diverse requirements, including sensory integration, communication, mobility, and other specific needs, to facilitate access to the curriculum and participation in school activities.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic growth of all students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and well-being, and maintain open communication with parents and caregivers.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working in a high SEN or complex care setting, ideally within a school environment.
  • A sincere enthusiasm for working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Salary:

The selected candidate can expect a salary range of £14-£15 per hour, reflecting the demands of this challenging yet rewarding role.
