About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Acorn Homes Group. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young adults in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional care and support to children and young adults, promoting their physical, psychological, emotional, and recreational development.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans, working closely with colleagues and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Provide a safe and structured environment, encouraging children to develop life skills and participate in leisure activities, educational interests, and social opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, children, and external agencies, ensuring seamless care and support.
  • Manage challenging behavior, guiding and directing staff to ensure the well-being of all children in our care.

Requirements
  • A Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care with Children and Young People, or willingness to achieve this qualification.
  • Ability to work early, late, and night shifts, including sleepovers, on a rota basis.
  • Over 21 years of age (Equality Act 2010 exemption applies).
Desirable Requirements
  • Two years' experience working in a children's home.
  • A full UK driving license.
