About the Role
Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is supporting a Secondary School in Maghull in their search for a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant. The successful candidate will work with students who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and classroom support to students with complex needs
- Work closely with the SENCO and other staff to implement individual education plans and monitor progress
- Support students to access the curriculum and develop their skills and confidence
Requirements
- A minimum of Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
- Experience of working with SEN students in a secondary school setting
- Knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and relevant strategies and interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive and flexible attitude
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
