About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EAL Teaching Assistant to support students with English as an Additional Language in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted support to students developing their English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Assist teachers in creating and delivering tailored lesson plans for EAL students.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning and boost confidence.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity.
  • Contribute to the development of resources and materials to support EAL learners.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with EAL students or a background in linguistics, TESOL, or a related field.
  • Patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in EAL support is preferred but not essential.
