Position Available: Senior Java Software Engineer at Commonwealth of Virginia

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creation of innovative Java-driven applications utilizing frameworks such as Angular, Spring, and Microservices.
  • Support and enhance current legacy Java applications.
  • Engage as a Full Stack Java Engineer within a cooperative agile team setting.
  • Participate actively in SCRUM or KANBAN agile methodologies.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives within the team.
  • Monitor system performance and assist in troubleshooting any operational challenges.

Essential Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in developing intricate n-tier Java applications.
  • Expertise in technologies such as JSP, Servlets, Struts, EJB, Oracle, SQL, UML, Eclipse, among others.
  • Capability to adhere to Agile development practices and communicate effectively in English.
  • Completion of high school education or equivalent.

Additional Preferences

  • Preference for candidates with Full-Stack Development experience, particularly in Angular and Microservices.
