Job Title: Lunchtime Supervisor

Long-term Teachers Ltd is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team. As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security, safety, and wellbeing of pupils during the lunchtime period.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare the dining area for service, which may include moving and/or setting up furniture and trolleys, cleaning, and putting away after service.
  • Service Area Preparation: Prepare the service area, hot cupboards, and other equipment as instructed.
  • Cleaning and Hygiene: Wash dishes, cutlery, tumblers, jugs, serving utensils, containers, tables, and all other catering equipment in the catering environment. Clean catering areas to regulated standards as directed.
  • Assisting with Meal Service: Assist in the serving of meals in line with agreed procedures.
  • Safety and Wellbeing: Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, providing emotional support where necessary. Promote good behaviour and a calm atmosphere.

Supporting the School:

  • Safeguarding: Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, and security, confidentiality, and data protection. Report any concerns to an appropriate person.
  • Equality and Diversity: Be aware of and support differences, ensuring all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
  • Teamwork: Contribute to the overall ethos, work, and aims of the school. Appreciate and support the role of other professionals.
