Job Description

A unique opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work in a leading private hospital based in the UK. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing intensive support and rehabilitation services for individuals with complex needs.

This role involves working with a client group that requires expert skills to assess, advise, and intervene to promote functional communication systems. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will have a hands-on role with high levels of contact with individuals in the care of the service.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the field of Learning Disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders and Mental Health Conditions. A strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and person-centred planning is also essential. Additionally, knowledge of sensory needs and dysphagia training would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including a generous CPD allowance, clinical supervision, and access to a network of SLTs nationally. The role offers a permanent full-time position working 40 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, advise, and intervene to promote functional communication systems
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide intensive support and rehabilitation services
  • Train others, promote good practice, and maintain a successful inclusive communication environment

Preferred Skills and Experience:
