Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our team at Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine. As a key member of our Domestic Services Department, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake a variety of housekeeping and cleaning duties to ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout the hospital.
  • Provide a wide range of domestic services to support clinical services, in line with NHS Scotland's National Cleaning Services Specification.
  • Work collaboratively with the Domestic Services team to achieve our goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our hospital's policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience working with industrial cleaning equipment or in a healthcare environment, preferably in mental health areas.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
  • Physical fitness and a strong understanding of the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare environment.
  • Flexibility to work in various areas of the hospital, including Woodland View and Ayrshire Central Hospital.
