Executive Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Marston's PLC. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the kitchen team: Supervise and motivate a team of cooks to achieve high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
• Menu planning and development: Collaborate with the culinary team to design and implement new menu items, ensuring they meet the company's quality and profitability standards.
• Inventory management: Oversee the ordering, storage, and rotation of ingredients, supplies, and equipment to minimize waste and optimize inventory levels.
• Food safety and quality control: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, maintain high standards of food quality, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Team development and training: Provide guidance, coaching, and training to kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Proven culinary experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior kitchen role, with a strong background in menu planning, inventory management, and team leadership.
• Culinary education: A degree or diploma in culinary arts or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Leadership skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Food safety and quality control: Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control procedures, with the ability to implement and maintain high standards.
