Senior Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at WILLIAM GLYN RECRUITMENT. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in providing financial expertise to our clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements, and providing guidance on tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Produce high-quality financial statements for complex assignments, ensuring all client queries are addressed and cleared before final review.
  • Tax Compliance: Draft tax computations and return forms for various entity types, and complete tax working papers schedules.
  • Final Adjustments: Ensure accurate processing of final adjustments in financial statements and taxation software following client review meetings.
  • Submission of Financials: Submit approved financial statements and statutory tax returns in accordance with client needs and deadlines.
  • Mentoring & Development: Provide coaching, training, and support to junior team members, utilizing your expertise to develop their skills.
  • Management Accounts: Produce client management accounts and provide relevant commentary, ensuring client needs and deadlines are met.
  • Review Work: Review working papers produced by junior team members, ensuring compliance and quality control.
Requirements:
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
  • Fully or part-qualified with ACCA or ACA.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Desire and ability to develop and grow within a forward-thinking and supportive environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of accounting and auditing standards.
  • Desirable: Previous experience using CaseWare would be an advantage.
