Electrical and Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Haddenham. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems and document all activities.
  • Achieve Engineering GMP targets by understanding and adhering to standards.
  • Understand food safety legislation, including HACCP, and ensure team outputs meet these standards.
  • Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to improve operating practices and enhance product quality and customer service.
  • Ensure full compliance with Company Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Environmental requirements.
  • Assist with the integration of new equipment with manufacturing, operations, and project teams.
  • Multi-skilled in Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls.
  • Attend Daily Engineering meetings and provide input on safety, quality, and operational KPIs.
  • Execute planned maintenance activities with the Engineering team leader.
  • Report on shift issues and ensure successful information transfer to the oncoming shift's Senior Engineer.
  • Ensure compliance with Risk assessments, LOTO Procedures, and Permit procedures.
  • Ensure equipment is serviceable and runs as expected after maintenance work.
  • Ensure safe working of engineering function and provide 'safety walk' information to Operations Team Manager.
  • Meet all company and legal requirements.
  • Hold a Time served Engineer qualification with a minimum NVQ 3 Mechanical or Electrical.
  • Have experience in food or consumer products industry with a good track record of acquiring Engineering skills and continuous development.
  • Have a solid grounding in food handling safe practices and ability to carry out confined-space entry work.
  • Be PC literate with experience of Word, Outlook, and Excel Spreadsheets.
  • Able to troubleshoot and fault-find within a production facility.

We offer a competitive pay rate of up to £17.00 per hour depending on experience.
