Production Maintenance Director

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Production Maintenance Director to join our team at Recra Consulting. In this key position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective functioning and maintenance of all equipment, machinery, and facilities within a food manufacturing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Strategy Development: Develop and implement maintenance strategies specific to food manufacturing facilities, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians, including assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan, monitor and analyse maintenance data to identify trends and proactively address recurring issues.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and FSMA, implement and maintain proper sanitation and cleaning procedures for equipment and facilities, conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and resolve safety and quality-related issues.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the maintenance department's budget, monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation.
Requirements:
- A proven work experience as a Maintenance Manager in food manufacturing, preferably within a similar industry.
- An excellent knowledge of food processing equipment, machinery, and facility maintenance.
- A strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, able to effectively manage and motivate a maintenance team.
- A problem-solving mindset and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
Benefits and Salary:
The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Our company offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
